The tour begins in one of Medellín’s most prestigious neighborhoods. Get ready for tranquility, lush greenery, and the thought “I want to live here.” We’ll stroll through a local park and then head to a monument built in memory of the darkest years in Colombia’s history. Next, we’ll go to the noisy, chaotic city center, where we’ll discover the work of Colombia’s most famous sculptor and painter, Fernando Botero. From the center, we’ll make our way to Comuna 13, once the most dangerous neighborhood in Medellín and now a symbol of the city’s transformation. Here, street art, hip-hop rhythms, and colorful graffiti rule, telling attentive visitors about the neighborhood’s painful past. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the city’s stylish restaurants in the trendy Provenza district.
